Intelligence: When on the scene of an accident you will not have the luxury of a well laid out diagnosis and will have to rely on your own judgment for administering treatment. Reassuring: A victim might be panicked due to the injury and the surrounding people. You must try to reassure the person that the treatment is going on well and that further help is on the way. You will have to be especially considerate with children and older people in the event of their crying and not co-operating completely. You must also be sympathetic and understanding if the victims are in any kind of pain and discomfort.

Confidence: Finally you must be confident of your acquired skills and proceed to take decisive actions promptly. Your confidence generally rubs off and will reassure the victim and even the onlookers.
